In a word: SENSATIONAL! Or to put it another way: on our next trip to Italy we would take a detour of several hours just to be able to eat at Campanarò again - that says it all. But first things first: I would describe the atmosphere in the restaurant as “harmoniously upscale”, we felt very comfortable there straight away. A basket of breadsticks and rolls was already waiting at the table, and after a quick request, a basket of gluten-free rolls was brought for my partner. The service was sometimes highly professional. The waiter had a confident demeanor and initially introduced himself to us with his name and the addition that he was “our” waiter for the evening. In addition to tips on sensible menu sequences and a wine recommendation, all questions about ingredients and allergens were answered straight away. He was supported by his colleagues, who completed the professional impression. For example, our water bottle was often replaced by a filled one without being asked (at a cost of €1 for water on the bill!). When it came to the menu, we initially decided on the cold and warm starter platter for 2 people. We found the tonnato cream, the omelette millefeuille and the pumpkin flan particularly outstanding. Very professionally: first a plate of cold dishes came and then a plate of hot dishes. For the next course we shared a plate of gluten-free pasta with white truffle, which was freshly shaved at the table over the tagliatelle tossed in butter - delicious. Afterwards we had the gnocchi with Raschera fondue and the wild boar ragout with plums. Both dishes were also highly recommended; even the seemingly simple potatoes that came with the ragout were delicious. I would describe the price-performance ratio as more than fair within a few days. All in all, we had an extraordinary evening and a lasting memory! Many thanks to the entire Campanarò team!❤️
